Volunteer and Make a Difference in the Lives of Seniors

As a Cedar Village volunteer, you can have a real impact on the lives of seniors. Our volunteers help deliver enriching and engaging activities. There’s a saying that whoever saves a life, it is considered as if they saved an entire world. Cedar Village volunteers work to repair the world one life at a time. It can happen in small moments—like taking a resident in a wheelchair outside to enjoy a beautiful day—or leading an activity that helps a dementia patient reconnect with buried memories through music. Whatever your interests, there is likely to be a volunteer opportunity for you at Cedar Village.

As a not-for-profit organization, it’s our volunteer-supported programming that helps set us apart from other retirement communities. Our volunteers also deliver one-on-one attention that helps residents and patients improve quality of life.

How can you get involved?

Here is how you can become a Cedar Village volunteer. Anyone 15 years or older can apply to become a volunteer at Cedar Village by completing an application. Once we receive your completed application packet, we will meet with you and explore your interests and availability and create a meaningful volunteer role for you. We strive to match the volunteer’s interests and experiences with those that are important to our residents, so that meaningful relationships can be formed. We are eager to welcome you to join our team of dedicated and caring volunteers. Click here to download an application and for directions on how to submit it.
