Ownership of Cedar Village has transitioned to a non-profit organization known as Indiana Senior Housing Health Care Properties (ISH). This ownership transition was something the previous Board had strategically planned to ensure the ongoing sustainability of Cedar Village amidst dramatic changes in health care that made it difficult to continue operating Cedar Village as a standalone entity. ISH was created in 2013 as a 501(c) (3) when a similar ownership transition occurred in Evansville, Ind., regarding the senior living community of Solarbron.
We have a proud ownership history and we are committed to ensuring that Cedar Village remains a vibrant community with access to independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care at a great value. Through our new ownership structure, this community will remain deeply rooted in tradition and continue to be a welcoming environment for residents, patients and employees alike. We will build upon Cedar Village’s strengths, invest in facility improvements and preserve the Jewish services and programming long valued in the community.
Our leadership team is comprised of several caring non-profit Board members that include:
Jim Whitlatch – Chairman
We have contracted with a widely respected family-owned management company – CarDon & Associates – to manage day-to-day operations of Cedar Village. ISH has a long-standing partnership with the leaders at CarDon and we are confident in their ability to offer inspired living, high quality care and captivating programming.
