Mason, OH (10/17/17)– Third Thursdays at Cedar Village will feature “Clean Living” during October, November and December. A cross between informative and entertaining, these free “info-taining” luncheons feature guest speakers on the issues and innovations impacting our lives. They are open to people wanting to learn more about the organization, as well as participants in the Mayerson JCC Senior Program and the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton. RSVPs are required and can be managed on the Cedar Village website or by calling the organization at 513-754-3100.
The October 19 program features Cedar Village Chef Jeff Teegarden with tips on transforming recipes to make favorite dishes healthier while keeping them delicious. It includes a tasting of decadent desserts that seem too good to be good for you.
On November 16, the theme is De-Cluttering: How to Un-Feather Your Nest. Queen City Transitions’ Betty Goldfarb will discuss the psychological benefits of downsizing while teaching 10 great tips from her Downsizing Decathlon. She also will discuss: Do you own your stuff or does your stuff own you?
In December, on the 21st, the focus is: Secrets of Celebrity Bathrooms and Other Tricks for Growing Older Gracefully. Dan Ansel from Active Daily Living shares tricks for growing older in your own home, without sacrificing safety and security. Learn to adapt everyday objects for use in ways you probably never imagined and get helpful safety tips for the bathroom and the entire home.
Events are held on the Campus of Cedar Village at 5467 Cedar Village Drive in Mason. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the speakers begin at noon.
