Performing at Cedar Village

Welcome to the Classics on Campus Performers’ Page

Thank you for your interest in performing at Cedar Village. Your artistry makes a difference in the lives of our residents and their family members. It’s possible that this may be one of the most appreciative audiences that you’ll ever experience.

Music unlocks memories, activating many regions of the brain and helping us recall details of the past that me might otherwise have lost. These performances also offer a way for residents and their off-campus family members and friends to share a special experience together. For people who have spent a lifetime attending the ballet, concerts and theatrical performances, the Classics on Campus program enables them to enjoy the arts, even after it has become harder for them to travel to performance halls.

What to know about performing at Cedar Village:

Publicity: Performances are publicized through press releases, social media, through the CV Vibe newsletter reaching 800 subscribers, on our website, and through flyers on our campus. They also are announced to concert audiences at the previous performance. Please send your bio, a head shot and other program information upon confirming your performance date.

Concert Length: Unless there are special circumstances, performances should last approximately 60-75 minutes, without intermission.

Our Stage: Our beautiful performance space includes a stage and well-maintained baby grand piano. Microphones are available upon request.

Programs: We can print programs, however the audience enjoys the interaction of having musicians announce pieces from the stage too.

Cancellations: Given the amount of advance publicity, it is impossible for us to alert audience members of cancellations. In an emergency, we expect performers to send a substitute.

Performance Stipends: Stipends are available, however, as a not-for-profit organization, we are extremely grateful for donations–either donated performances or funding to off-set costs. To donate, click here.

Contact Information: 5467 Cedar Village Drive, Mason, OH 45040. Please use the main entrance. Turn onto our campus at the monument sign. Pass the “Administration Parking Only” lot and continue to the main entrance. Our receptionist will direct you to the CRCC room. Our main number: 513-754-3100.

Performance Agreement: Please complete the performance agreement by signing and returning it or emailing that you have read and understand it. We need agreements four weeks prior to the concert date, so we can begin the promotional campaign.
